Representative Val Demings Votes to Protect the Affordable Care Act

WASHINGTON, D.C.--Representative Val Demings, Florida's 10th Congressional District, voted to protect the Affordable Care Act on Friday, voting against the Budget Resolution.

"This is not a Republican and Democratic Issue, this is an American issue," said Representative Val Demings,

"Every person in the greatest nation in the world should have the right to access affordable quality health care. Repealing the ACA without a replacement plan is both destructive and dangerous."

Representative Val Demings took to the floor Thursday to stand against the plan to repeal ACA.  

"I promise to continue to fight on behalf of Central Floridians, and all Americans, to ensure no one is stripped of health care. This will not just have a crippling effect on our economy, but could mean life and death for millions of people.”
