ORLANDO, FL – Today, Rep. Val Demings (FL-10) joined Rep. Filemon Vela Jr. (TX-34) as an original cosponsor of a new bill, the Border and Port Security Act. The bill would authorize an additional 500 CBP Officers and 100 Agriculture Specialists per year to address existing domestic staffing shortages at U.S. airports, seaports, and land ports of entry.
